I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people that contributed to making the DID playstyle a part of the Bethesda Softworks Forums. The initial thread began, and still resides, in the neighboring forum of Fall Out New Vegas. The founder .46ACP (Gunny) who was inspired by Longknife.

Now for the basics. If you are unfamiliar with, or would like to know more about the DID playstyle. Please visit the http://graveyard.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_is_Dead:_A_gaming_playstyle_choice page, in the http://graveyard.wikia.com/wiki/The_Graveyard_-_A_Dead_Is_Dead_gamplay_site_Wiki.

Just one rule...Dead is Dead. :dead:

1) When your character falls in battle or falls from a cliff, that's it. They are dead. Game over. No reloads. Feel free to restart, ( at the cave exit ) with the ole "I or II", after their names. If you so choose.

*Exception*
...If your character falls due to a glitch, the game locks up or due to any outside action and/or distraction ( kids / pets / mother-in-law ) at no fault from the player. No shame will fall upon you to revert to a previous save.

NOTE : Difficulty has no bearing in DID. It should be set, according the comfort of the player. Pending things like character build, roleplay, limits, mods, and experience, this can easily vary among players.

If you want to try a run, feel free to list your new characters, with a backstory if you like. As well as, their starting stats and limitations. Update your progress. Much like the "Where are you now", thread. It's really not any different from most of your guy's/gal's playstyle...aside from the dead and done part.

When and if that happens, post their name, date of passing and any info you want to reflect on their tomb. I will list them in the OP, so they will be forever remembered.

NOTE : You must start a new character, in the thread, for them to be eligible for the Skyrim Memorial.

Player Tomb Listings :

1) I will list the players in alphabetical order.

2) The graves, of your fallen characters, will be added to your Tomb.

3) Any info on your char will be added, to their grave, according to your post.

4) Each character's grave will be limited, to 7 lines of info, for simplicity and unity. I will be more than happy, to tie a link to your character's name for pics and stats.

5) The Tombs will have a heading, with the players user name.

*NOTICE*
...With regards to the memorial...If you commit to a DID, your character dies and you post " My dude died, on such and such, but I'm going to continue playing him/her", OR you play with a varied version, like restarting from a "half-way point". That is NOT Dead Is Dead and you will NOT get added to the graveyard. This prompted a lot of frowns and nasty comments, in the other forum. So, we can prevent this before it happens.

Forgot to mention on my post on the previous thread, my character will be using mainly one handed (daggers only) and all magic except maybe illusion. She will use light armor alchemy maybe sneak and that is it.

First update

Anika awoke to find herself in a cart being drawn by the Imperial scum. She glanced around and the Nord opposite her began to talk. He seemed like a strong warrior compared to the man next to him- a sniveling thief who cried to the Gods. The only other occupant of the carriage was the great hero Ulfric, but he remained silent. Once the carts had stopped Anika clambered out and waited for the gaurd to call her name. Surprisingly the theif tried to run. This man was a fool as well as a coward, he deserved to die. She spat at the gaurd who called her forward. "Curse you Imperial dogs!" she yelled. She got a few cheers from her fellow prisoners before they were all silenced. As the first man walked up to the executioners block she saluted him in her mind. He was honorable and resented the Imperials to the end. As she was called forward the executioner gave her a sneer "I'm going to enjoy this" he said. She simply laughed for she knew they were all going to suffer, if not by her hands, by the Nords of Skyrim. Suddenly a roar sounded through the small hamlet. The soldiers seemed spooked but Anika was intrigued as to what could make this sound. Then a hulking beast swooped down from the sky, a blood curdling roar emitting from his jaws. A huge jet of fire shot out of it's mount and then Anika collapsed.
The screams of Imperial soldiers around her made her smile, she knew they would suffer and now justice was being done. She sat up and saw the Nord from earlier nearby. "Come on kinsman!" he yelled. She didn't much like company but she thought it would be better than waiting to get earn alive. The Nord led her into a small tower, wherein several prisoners wounds were being tended to. Anika started to make her way up the stairs when the dragon burst through the wall, devouring two men whole. She stumbled backwards and then focused again. She needed to get out. Now. She lept from the tower into a burning building and froze. The memories hit her like a ton of bricks. The fire, her parents. She was stunned, her emotions overwhelmed her. She was snapped free of paralysis when she heard the dragon's roar again. It reminded her of the danger she was in. She darted down the stairs, to see an Imperial soldier pulling a boy back to safety. She felt a pang of empathy for the boy- for she to had been in a similar situation. The empathy soon turned to anger when she saw the Imperial. "Still alive prisoner?" he said. "No thanks to you scum" she replied snarling at him. "Stick with me" he said, but she simply cursed him to Oblivion and ran on. She made it into a large courtyard panting when she heard a shout. It was the Nord from earlier, and he wanted her to escape with him. She agreed seeing as the only other option was to go with the Imperial dog.
Once inside the Nord blessed his fallen comrade, freed my bonds and told me to take his gear. She realized she was beginning to like this Nord, he showed her kindness in such a dangerous time. Unable to use the war axe she used a small flame spell her father had taught her. Some Imperial guards walked in and she began attacking them immediately. The Imperials eyes grew wide with fear as they saw the burning hatred in her eyes. She burned them to death enjoying their pains of scream with a grin. The Nord suggested they searched for a key on the bodies, and they managed to open the next door. The next few rooms were a whirlwind of violence as Anika stormed through any in her path. She found a small dagger and started to wield it. They made their way out through a cave, and after dispatching of a few spiders, were finally outside. The Nord suggested they split up and Anika agreed- he would only slow her down. However she felt a pang of regret, the Nord was the closest thing she had had to a friend in a long time. Anika made her way down to the nearby village called Riverwood. She spoke to a women named Gerdur, who wished her to run some errand to Whiterun. She agreed but only because she was already heading that way. She stopped briefly in the inn to eat and rest up and then continued to Whiterun.
