I hate guards' banter. It is most disturbing.

For me, guards' banter is the worst thing content wise in this game. How can every single one of them know everything and insult player at every turn? How can they know that I can sneak, pick locks, enchant, do alchemy, etc., if I Never do that it in public. Particularly, I wonder about thieving skills. Aren't they supposed to be secret or not? Also, how they can insult a char, who is a leader of companions, a dragonborn and what not. It would be better, if they would be silent.

I would like to meet at least one Bethesda developer, so they would explain me what was the reasoning for that.

The reason is because people [censored]ed about the lack of random NPC banter in Oblivion. So, Bethesda just gave all the guards ESP.

And they implemented the request in a most stupid way. Almost seems like some of the forum people were writing the lines...
