Anyone actually plays a Nord character , who loves his/her land ?
Who isn't so nice to other races ?
Who counts on his/her sword and bow ?

However I do hate the rebellion , and I'm with the Empire.

I do actuallly! First character I played with in Skyrim was a Nord called Buliwyf ( The Thirteenth Warrior ). Braided long hair,weilding Wuuthrad..... So much win.

Yeah, sometimes I want to playing as a nord who love his land. But, no. That's seems arrogant for me. And I don't like that.

Well there is a difference between loving ones land and being a racist, I feel as if the latter word is being thrown around quite often in this forum.

I wonder just what a true Nord is. Seems to be this little thing some fo the Nords talk about, but only think it means people who agree with them.

Wouldn't Nordic Battlemages be True Nords, at least if we look at the amount of Draugr that had magical training before they died(I assume whatever skills they had in life are reflected in death)? Yet, the modern Nords seem to think magic is for the weak, while at the same time revere their ancestors.

The same goes for the whole Empire/Stormcloak thing; the supporters of one seem to think they are the True Nords, while the supporters of the other side are traitors and/or misguided.

Many races once worshiped non-divines, then decided to worship the divines instead. Cultures will lose some aspects as time goes on. Just read about the history of black metal if you want to know how the guy who was the only member of Burzum was trying to make Norway like it was centuries ago.

Indeed, cultures change, but it is strange that the Nord revere their ancestors which quite a few happened to be powerful mages and battlemages, yet dislike magic

Well they don't actually dislike magic,it's just that most of the Nords are brutes who like beating people with oversized axes and swords. You see,that is sometimes more effective than magic...if you want to kill someone.
