[SPOILER] what you guys thinks will be of the empire now?

Post » Wed Jul 11, 2012 1:02 am

soooo i was wondering these days about the future of the empire and tamriel after the end of the Dark Brotherhood storyline, the empire is already falling apart as it is, with a dead Emperor then...
what do you guys thinks about all this? imagine the reaction of the Thalmor as soon as they hear the news ,in my opinion i believe that they will imediately raise their banners again and march into Cyrodiil totally destroying the empire UNLESS bethesda makes the Dragonborn takes the imperial throne and fight agains the thalmor uniting Tamriel again, maybe not in that amazing empire like the Septim's one, but maybe the provinces joining togheter in an alliance against a common enemy, would be silly if the dragonborn just saves Nirn from the World-eater and then let the thalmor destroy it and end mundus, i need future elder scrolls games Godda[censored]!! :banghead: xP

soo, share your opinions about this here, i'm curious about ideias in the matter

- and sorry for my bad english hopefully it's atleast understandable, i'm brazilian :3

Holy http://www.gamesas.com/forum/178-skyrim-cheats-hints-and-spoilers/, Batman!

Also, what is of all this talk of the Dragonborn becoming Emperor/High King? Can't you all just settle for being a lesser Aedra?

Well, I think you are wrong about the Thalmor attacking. The Thalmor are biding their time and one of their agents says right out that the war will start once it serves them. Which means that if the Dominion knew they could fight the Empire they would have already.

This is what I think will happen:

As soon as world reached all the Nobles someone(maybe an heir or maybe an ambitious noble) will start to take control over the council through militarya and political manouvering, and basicly give him/herself the powers of the Emperor.
Then he/she will re-conquer/strengthen the realtionship with Skyrim making the outcome of the Civil War irrelevant(like the Warp in the West did to DFs ending) and a war will break out with the Dominion sooner or later, maybe because he refuse to uphold the WGC.

Only speculation of course

Maybe I'm hearing things wrong in Skryim, but even when Martin Septim was defending Cyrodill with his life, Skyrim was still embattled with war. Given this, the death of the emporor is pretty much nil, considering the events were relating to the very era of Oblivion's storyline. If things didn't change to peace 200 years ago, I seriously doubt Dragonborn's position at rank will change things.

It just means in TES: Valenwood, you'll be playing as a wood elf who has to take out some ridiculous Dragonborn who let power get to their head.

Reading the thread title, I couldn't convince myself to attempt reading the post itself.

Well, this is my imagination running wild, but here goes:

The battle for Tamriel will be a total brawl:

- The Aldmeri Dominion: Since elves don't repopulate as quickly as men do, I can foresee a good deal of Khajiit on the frontlines. Still, the elves will still be a force to be reckoned with.

- The Empire: High Rock is still loyal to the Empire, but let's assume that the Civil War isn't completed for either side. That means you get half of the Nords fighting under the Empires banner. And who knows how the Imperials are faring right now.

- The Rebels: Hammerfell in alliance with Ulfric! Nords and Redguards make for a deadly war front, but will they have what it takes?

So after a series of skirmishes/battles, lands forfeited and men lost, the final battle to end all battles will take place once again in the Imperial City. It will be total pandemonium; naval warfare, fighting in the streets, siege engines breaking the walls, fighting in the grasslands, all to see whom will lay claim to the capital.

Yet at battle's end, none of them wins. Because my Dragonborn is going to be standing at the top of the White Gold Tower, readying his new shout. It's pretty much the global version of Fus Ro Dah, shouting all of the armies and people of Tamriel into submission. And in that glorious moment of unity, the Gods themselves will ascend from Aetherius, and merge my soul with Talos.

A treaty will be established that day ending the war, with the Aldmeri Dominion crippled and without their White Gold Concordat. Skyrim will be divided into 2 different kingdoms, under Ulfric and Elisif. And the Empire will still be standing.

But what the future holds, and what the other provinces have been plotting this entire time, is uncertain, and may plunge Tamriel into war once again...

the curent emperor in Skyrim's timeline is Tidus Mede II, and he died in the end of the Dark brotherhood storyline, this not related to oblivion or the septims xP
it is about the thin peace concordate of the empire with the Thalmor, and without an emperor the empire will errupt in civil war everywhere (as if still have many provinces by now q-)
a:)

/Rockyprince@ haven't they sworn to take the reach only? (their past lands) :3

but wouldn't a civil war + the death of the Emperor + the very corrupt Elder concil and strives for power within it generates a extremely usefull situation to declare open war on the empire once more? :)
