2 completely different games >.>

So, in the late stages of 2012, i was getting really excited for Skyrim to drop. I've been a faan of the elder scrolls since i got into gaming, you could say morrowind was the first video game that i fell in love with, though at the time i really didnt understand the depth of the game and pretty much just wandered aimlessly killing things here and there.

Now I own a ps3, and i was excited because i figured ps3 would be a better choice in terms of graphics than the 360.

As other ps3 owners are aware, the game is useless and at times completely unplayable. I sadly brought the game back to gamestop and hustled those ass holes for every dollar back. (sneaky ways of getting full refunds on used games, it's really simple.) this was two weeks after the game came out, and for many months i sat and saved every dollar i had for my ultimate goal....

To build a PC that could handle what the game was meant to be.

And finally my dream came true,
now i have experienced what bethesda meant for me to experience. Sure microsoft may have slep with ol' todd to get the DLC first, but the 360 and the ps3 versions of the game are absolute trash and not even close to being worth $60 bucks. Beth should have waited to release this game on the next gen consols. honestly, they are completely different games.

The reason i post this thread is so that 360 and ps3 players can know, they have been lied to and the game they are playing is [censored] [censored] compared to the splendor that awaits in the pc version.

yes i spent nearly $1000 of my life savings on skyrim.
and yes, i am satisfied.

idk, mods are pretty much the only thing that is different, the graphics aren't even that much better without them. if anything I think the consoles held the pc version back from what it could have been, thats why the game is as simple and lacking in content as it is

Yeah, I am not going to do that.
Me neither. I'd pay for a cheaper PC. $1000 no thanks I'll pass. I'm content with my xbox for now.

They really improved the stability since release at least on PS3.

I prefer the simplicity of consoles though. The only games I use the PC for are Total War games. I've had a very good experience on Xbox with Skyrim, since I installed the game to my HDD it's been considerably more stable.

Big hint though, wait a few months before actually playing an ES or Fallout game. I learned the hard way (lost my 302 hour save) in Skyrim that playing the game from release is a very, very bad idea. Next time I'll make sure to wait a few months.

I haven't had any game breaking problems on my xbox either to the point of being unplayable. I don't know how that could really happen. just some small bugs, like mudcrabs going into the ground (oh no!).

$700 should get you a PC that can handle Skyrim on High settings. Costs less if you build. Lol at $1000, who are you trying to buy from? Alienware? :lmao:

I have felt awful for the PS3 users since Skyrim's release - and on Xbox, I experienced so many bugs initially that I finally had to put the game away for several weeks, until the latest patch was released. But none of my old laptops has a hope of running the game without exploding, so for now I'm pretty happy that they released Skyrim for Xbox. (selfish, I know..)

To me, it's been worth the money - pretty soon I may be able to compete in the "How many hours have you played" thread.

Anyway, congrats on getting Skyrim for PC. Eventually the lure of mods will probably make me get it for PC too (this has happened to me before with TES..)

Oh wonderful... I smell console vs. PC again. I have the PC version and PS3 version. I can only play the game with medium graphics, and it still isn't any different from the console versions. It has the worst controls when it comes to the interface, in fact. The game will often lag on your character only. I had to use performance enhancements to fix so many lag issues. The game is good on all the systems, but people will prefer one version over the others. I prefer the PC version because I find that the PC is the system with the most games that appeal to me.

I'm glad you enjoy your game and investment, though.

Yeah I definitely know that their PC's are expensive.

For the hardware you get it's insane. It's like paying half for the hardware and half for the brandname and fancy PC cover.

Anyways, some people still can't afford $700 or have the time or tech skills to build one.

That's my impression as well (I'm a PC user) from looking at screenshots. As far as I can tell, the game looks just as good on XBox and PS3 as it does on PC.
