Anyone else enjoy party chatting while playing?

Post » Thu Jul 12, 2012 5:43 am

I for one like to party chat with other Skyrim fans on my friends list while playing, and just wanted to see how everyone else feels about it. I'm always looking for some fellow Skyrim players to talk about it with while playing and share adventures with, makes the game more interesting in my opinion.

I don't like to do that with many games.

if im not on my main character i dont mind...but as a rule if im playing any RPG i tend to be left alone, although the wife does enjoy the story bits and i have to call her at important plot twists etc...especially during mass effect 1-2-3

That's the only reason I got an xbox over a PS3, simply for the party chat.

Nope. I roleplay. I am putting all of my concentration into getting inside the mind of my character when I play.

I will mute everyone of them without them knowing it.

But most of the time I don't join parties when I am playing TES or Fallout.

Nope. I don't play single player games to "chat" with other people. (Heck, I don't chat much at all.)

And if you're talking voice chat..... bah. Got no mic, don't see a reason to get one, and am not a fan of hearing random people blab in games that do have it (like ME3 multiplayer. If I end up in a random group where people are babbling while waiting in the lobby, I leave to find another group.)

...actually, thinking about it, I don't have anyone in my Steam friends list. Very few of my IRL friends do PC gaming.

No, I don't.

PS3 does'nt have voice chat. I would'nt use it if it had it, anyway.
I don't like voice chat on games.

It's the last thing I'd do, ever.

That completely breaks Role-Playing , what I do is thinking as my character.

No, but i do enjoy party rocking ;)
But really, no. I like to be alone, so i can take in the sense of Skyrim. If not, i talk to my self. A lot. More than i should... Rather loudly.

It depends, mostly yes.

Sometimes I just want to be immersive, others I listen to music/comedy whilst I play.

I roleplay so unfortunately no. If I am talking to someone else it ruins my immersion :X
