A few ideas for Skyrim

Post » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:13 pm

Seeing how Nocturnal dosen't have a daedric artifact (as in one that's obtained through a daedric quest), why not add the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal? Also, why not add aedric artifacts and quests in Skyrim? There were a few of those in Morrowind and Oblivion. Also, seeing how temporary oblivion portals were mentioned in Oblivion, why not add temporary oblivion portals that require a high conjuration level to create?

She has artifacts. You just gotta find them
Spoiler
Thieves Guild.

They are a few Aedric quests in Skyrim. And there weren't any in Oblivion unless you count Knights of the Nine.

And because those portals to Oblivion are closed. It's not exactly clear how you yourself are able to summon Daedra, but a traditional Oblivion gate isn't possible anymore.

The Skeleton Key is a daedric artifact, but, ingame it dosen't count as one, I want one that counts as one.

The CoC/Sheo stapled it to Haskill's head.

I really want the crusader armor back, after all if I'm not mistaken there is a corpse of a knight from that order in Skyrim.

The Crusader isn't supposed to come back. You became the Crusader in order to battle the return of the Ayleid King, forgot his name.

Spoiler
And I was referring more to the Armor of Nocturnal. But it would be silly in any case to include a Shrine quest to Nocturnal considering she already is a major part of the Thieves Guild.

Eldergleam Sanctuaryon Kynareth quest

I just can't help but think that it's the perfect place to put the boots of the crusader.

Dosen't the Brush of Truepaint count as an aedric artifact? Maybe a quest involving elgrim and the brush of truepaint? You have to retrieve it from a dungeon, and then either you can keep it, or give it to him. If you don't give it to him, he will attack you, so, you can kill him to keep the artifact.

Also, what about the Lord's Mail, Zenithar's Warning, Zenithar's Wile, Mace of the Crusader (knights of the nine, but, could possibly be hidden), and Stendarr's Hammer?

Spoiler

I consider the Nightingale armor and weapons to be her Daedric artifacts as you can't get them from no one else but her.

Maybe guards should carry silver weapons along with steel weapons?

Also, why not add farming? You could grow plants from seeds, and roots. Say you decide to keep the Jarrin Root from the Dark Brotherhood quest, you could plant the root in th ground, that's what I mean by planting roots.

Also, why not add aloe? Skyrim might be too cold to grow it, but, you can find it inside buildings in pots, and maybe some planted ones in areas such as Riften? Aloe could restore health, restore stamina, cure disease and can cause resistance to posion for a bit?

A nice variation would be to have the ability to 'silverize' a weapon - like taking a steel sword and giving it a silver edge. Maybe it could be combined with an enchantment, a sort of 'enchanted smithing' to make special anti-undead weapons.

Those are all good ideas. What about gem tipped weapons as well? And being able to craft flawless versions of gems from two normal versions of that gem?

Also, why not being able to craft arrows?

Flails and whips might be cool too.

You're able to craft arrows with Dawnguard.
