Ok people who are getting upset over ps3 not getting patch 1.6 yet. I recently read an article that made perfect sense.
1.6 will most likely not be released for the ps3 because it contains the dawnguard trophies and dawnguard itself, so why would they release the patch when the DLC is not ready for the ps3 and cannot be release for the system until the xbox contract is up.
Most likely what will happen is when dawnguard does get released for the ps3 they will have worked out a few of the bugs that popped up on xbox and pc, (of course not all bugs will be fixed and new ones will be there) but why would any company work hard to release a patch and then as soon as the product that patch is really meant for is released have to release another patch.
Think about it financially for the company, patches cost hours and money. Right now they can focous on xbox and pc to get it closer working better and when the ps3 version is released maybe have a better working version.
Well thats my thoughts on the ps3 1.6 patch.
For Now Till Dawnguard is released I am playing my older games. Ok now for the bethesda hate responses....
Aside from what the distinguished gentleman http://www.gamesas.com/user/789864-rel-dovahkin/ has already pointed out.
They released a beta test of the 1.06 patch. But fixed nearly nothing that was reported in it.
They had a two week beta period for DG but, you guessed it, they fixed nearly nothing that was reported in it. Then when they i18n'd it they released it completely broken. Like nobody even bothered to boot it up on a non-english console or something.
Do you get that?
Before releasing a product to tens(?) of thousands of their customers they didn't even screen it for bugs.History shows us that of all the platforms the PS3 is least likely to get any support from this company. Never have they once tried to improve content playability between the XB release and the release for us lesser customers.
Prior to Skyripoff (about Jan 2012) I had been a huge fan of Bethesda for about 10 years. That is not quite 1/3 of my life now, but a significant portion no doubt. Hate is probably too strong a word, but in terms of nerd rage yeah they have earned top honors from me.
