Yo, i've heard steam can be set to work offline allowing me to play stuff without the net connection for uncertain period of time. How do i set it up, do i need net to do so, and how long does it work?

In the upper left of your Steam window, click Steam and select Go Offline. You can stay offline until you want to get a mod or a patch.

Yeah, that's all there is to it. Although on a side note, I don't think Steam records hours played offline though.

Fairly sure it doesn't.

I usually play 99% of the time in offline but but I'm also about 99% positive it records your hours played still. But on that I could be wrong. I don't really pay attention to that. I only go online for patches or to upload pics to my screenshot account.
