Lately I've been experiencing this annoying bug, I think it started after I died and quickloaded. I'm fairly sure this bug affects the Unihindered and Conditioning armor perks (unhindered in my case), and I've also read about it affecting the Steed Stone blessing. Some google searching revealed that I'm not the only one experiencing this bug. It probably has something to do with the game removing active effects (such as the unhindered perk bonus) and then not remembering that they are still active upon a quickload.
Upon quickloading, the game does not seem to "remember" that I have the unhindered perk. If I am carrying more weight than I could without the unhindered perk (so I'm not encumbered with my light armor equipped, but I would be if it were unequipped) and I quickload, I am suddenly encumbered and the game tells me that I am "carrying too much weight and cannot run." However, I am NOT actually carrying too much weight. Equipping/unequipping a weapon or opening and closing the inventory fixes this, probably by making the game re-calculate my encumbrance. But it ALWAYS happens when I quickload--provided that I'm carrying enough weight that I'd be encumbered without the unhindered perk. Loading a saved game, including quicksaves, through the load menu does not cause this, only quickloading causes it. This is very annoying, especially when I need to do multiple quickloads.
Here are the things I've done to try to fix the bug (none worked):
-loading an earlier save before the bug started
-removing and re-adding the unhindered perk with the console
-becoming a werewolf (hoped this would reset my active effects)
-dying again and quickloading
-dropping all my items and reproducing the bug with new items (hoped the bug might have been tied to a specific item I had)
-restarting, re-launching the game, saving/loading a million times
-manually changing my stamina and carrying capacity with the console
-deleting my quicksave and autosave files and creating new ones in the game
No matter what I do, this bug seems to be stuck with my character. Who knows, it might even be stuck with any character I make from now on. I know others have been experiencing this bug for a while--has anyone found a way to fix it? I really don't want to delete this character and start over or reinstall skyrim. Please help!
