So I recently did a fresh reinstal of skyrim in an attempt to fix a graphical error I was having with snow found on ramparts and any other object it decided to settle on.

Now, after everything is re-downloaded etc, I find myself unable to make it to the main menu without skyrim closing and sending me to my desktop.

Any help? Should I attempt a new fresh install?
