Bar brawls - Disappointment : V

I would have loved to see some nicely animated fist fights with a proper cheering crowd, I know that would be asking for too much, but still, what we got in Skyrim was a bit overly.....ridiculous.

Does anybody else think that bar brawls were a massive disappointment in Skyrim?

I'm more dissapointed by the fact that some quest force you to brawl, where's the speech solution? Why can't I just use illusion or paralyze him? I feel out of place playing as altmer mage brawling.

But on topic, the brawl can be better but it's okay for me, except being forced to that is.

What do you mean "nicely animated"? :blink:

do you want some cutscenes? I think the bar brawls are ok; there arent many people in the taverns anyway. Would be weird to have the whole town swarm to the tavern for a bar fight.

I mean not having 2 people "skating" around spraying blood everywhere. Not to mention there's literally zero response from the impact of punches.

Only time I had to brawl was when I was doing one of the Companions radiant missions. I think it's quite reasonable. Other times, you can choose not to have a brawl.

it's quite a mess, yes.
If you could block and do counter moves, then it'd be acceptable atleast.

What bothers me is when I am in the middle of a brawl then all of a sudden there is someone that just right into the middle of it and bam a simple little 1 on 1 bar fight turns into a giant you against the world battle just cause one dummy got socked.

You are wrong about both.

You can do forsworn conspiracy without doing any brawls. I have done it without brawl. You can pass a speech challenge or you can pickpocket him if that fails.

When Rolff challenges you for 100 gold, you always have an option to decline the fight. You just tell him you got better things to do.

Maybe to have booze make your vision blurry and after too many you pass out in front of the tavern/inn and wake up the next morning.
