The whole "Hearthfire" thing

Post » Tue Jul 17, 2012 6:18 am

So I have been wondering lately, apart from Bethesda copywriting the word Hearthfire, has there been any actual solid evidence of it being a planned DLC?

It seems every time someone mentions wanting a magic based DLC there is usually a reply that Hearthfire aught to cover that based on the book sharing the same name.

But it just seems to me like Bethesda did the copywrite thing and from there conclusions were jumped to and the ball just got rolling from and is now treated like an official thing.

I'm curious if there has been any actual (official) confirmation at all?

Not trying to be a downer or one of those "pics or it didn't happen" people. Just genuinely curious about what facts are out on this whole thing or if it is just one big crock of fan speculation blown way out of proportion.

Didn't the exact same thing happen with Dawnguard?

Beth copyrighted it, speculation ensued.

Not entirely. It could be interpreted as "IF we make three DLCs they will go to the Xbox first."

But this doesn't confirm Hearthfire has anything to do with either two planned DLC's.

That isn't how business works.

Correction:The first TWO DLC's will come to xbox first

On-Topic:They done this with Dawngaurd, word got out Zenimax copy-writed Dawnguard and people automatically expected it to be DLC,it turned out to be the DLC so now the people who said this about DG think the same about HF.IMHO,I think it was copy-writed because of how often it is used in TES games, months, books etc, etc.I have been wrong before though...

It is likely. The same happened with Danwguard, and the same people saying it's not probably said Dawnguard wasn't either.

Why does everyone think Hearthfire has anything to do with magic, is my question?
I understand it shares the name of a book, but Hearthfire is one of the books in that series that is the least magic involved, primarily it deals with an inept Breton spy.
