Need Help, Setting up Graphics Settings on PC : What's Wrong

Post » Tue Jul 17, 2012 12:43 pm

Ok, So I want to enjoy Skyrim on my PC, not necessarily on Ultra, just be able to enjoy it.

I definately meet the system requirements for this game, and "Can you run it" Maxes me out 100% capable to play the game.

My Specs:
AMD Phenom II quad core processor
XFX Ati Radeon HD 6770 (2gb version not the 1gb version)
12GB Ram
3x 220gb HDD's

I read through the stickies in this forum and see that the HD 6770 1GB version is # 69, the highest ranking Medium-High card

My card is the 2GB version so should definately be able to play this game.

Using FRAPS to record FPS on High / Ultra I seem to get about 17-20 fps and it is sketchy/jumpy I don't mind turning some options off/down but My computer meets the requirements for this game I want everything displayed if possible

Could it simply be the resolution size instead of the features I have turned on? Any tips on choosing a resolution?

changed resolution down from 1680x1050 (i play mw3 great on this resolution) down to 1440x900 and still 17fps outside of whiterun.

Also, when I press tab to choose my weapons/items there is a UI lag with the mouse....

**EDIT** im also going through that nvidia guide and fine tuning everything *crosses fingers* :P
