The book 'Door to Oblivion' is beautiful

Hey,

I came across this video whereby a youtuber reads out loud the 'Door to Oblivion'.

I usually don't read books but if Bethesda has more where this came from I will be reading every one I see. I hope people take the opportunity to listen;

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time understanding the video. The accent, the constant stopping and starting and going back to read clauses a second time...I tried but I just couldn't get through it.

But I agree about the writing, though. It's a great book.

One of my favorite things about these games is the books. "Door to Oblivion" is a great one, as is "The Argonian Account" series.

Also, The Lusty Argonian Maid ;)

Yeah, a lot of the books in game are great, that's why I collect books, so If I get bored I can go and read a few of them in game. Adds a lot to the game

Yeah he made a few errors especially at the start but he's only human.

Writing is superb... God I need to start reading fantasy fiction.

I always set out to track down all of the books in the Argonian Account but never manage to finish.

I've always liked reading the in game books. Don't know if this book series exists in Skyrim. But I liked the "Poison Song" series, and the "Five Songs of King Wulfharth". If not you can find them here: http://www.imperial-library.info/ Just do a search.

In Morrowind, I made a house mod with TONS of books, some from Daggerfall and Morrowind itself, some fantasy, and many esoteric books and more "occult" type stuff, just so I could enjoy them in the comfort of my virtual home! During that time, I think I honestly read more books in game than I did in real life!

Bethesda do have some gems, and while some are abstractions of existing mythology and other stories, many are completely original, and I love them!

Some of the Dances in Fire were pretty good as well. =)

The books only good because there is a spot where it spawns endlessly and you can get quite rich just looting this book over and over. Its the first thing I do on every new character I make.
