What is a normal number of kills?

What is a normal number of kills? I feel like when my characters reach a point in kills that there is no way for me to be a GOOD character. I know it is hard to play nice since a large number of quests require killing and also because bandit's enjoy running to there death.
I have played this game at least 1000+ hours. Made over 10+ characters. I honestly feel like i have played this game more than 98% of people out there. With each character i roleplay comes a large amount of kills/murders.
I guess what i am trying to get at has anyone made a character that has had a low amount of kills?

Current Kills : 1068
Murders : 130

This number doesn't even seem like it could be accomplished by anyone in real life so i have a hard time Role playing a character pa st a certain point. I say this because in the end i want to feel like my character ( A breton currently) isn't an Evil Dragonborn.

My newest character is a pure thief who will never kill anything (person, animal, undead, daedra, etc). Challenging but fun gameplay. If your high number of kills bothers you or effects your roleplaying experience I would highly recommend starting a Dead-Is-Dead character.

Well my current character i roleplayed as someone who fought for skyrim, so Whiterun and other cities who supported imperials usually fell to my blade. I was hoping to end up making that character good (which i might still), but that is an awful lot of dead guards.

I even plan on trying to disgard all Deadric artifacts in Azuras star (previously mentioned in the destroy ebony blade quests) and then hiding that deep in a forgotten dungeon) as a way become not as evil.

something like this is what i have been trying to shoot for. What kind of character do you play? It just seems like unless i run from every bandit that that number is not possible for me to acheive.

I play a mage/alchemist. When I want to kill a Thalmor on the road, I talk to them first and confess that I believe in Talos. I also talk to Drug Dealers and ask them if what they are doing is legal. I think it counts as murder if you kill them before they go aggro on you.

Also, if you attack someone but don't kill them with the first hit, it counts as an assault, but not murder. Then they will get mad for assaulting them and will try to kill you. After this you can kill in self defense.

It's impossible to play the game without killing. I usually play such that I won't attack anything/anyone that doesn't start it, but I still wind up with a high kill count. As for being "good," that's hard also, since even the Jarls send you out to kill people, and the Greybeards, the very SOULs of peace, send you to find word walls that are invariably guarded by at least a few humans or elves. My motto is what seems to be the motto of the state I live in: "Sumb!tch needed killin', yer honor."

Some kills are counted as murder even if the player wasn't the aggressor.
