I've had so much fun with all of your Elder Scrolls games. Skyrim is really amazing, but could be even better.
There have been quite alot of patches but there are still some things that I really wonder about. Why didn't you fix this yet?
I'm not trying to nag for an update or something. I'm just really wondering what's going on in your heads. Could you please answer the following few questions?
- Is there a way, for you, to fix the current shadow system of Skyrim? Why haven't you done anything about this yet? I wonder if you considered fixing it.
- There were quite alot of interesting improvements in the Game Reel like a flow based water system, footprints in the snow, seasonal foliage etc. Some of the features like mounted combat already made it into the game via DLC and some of them are in Dawnguard if I'm not mistaking. Are these features going to be released as DLC as well?
- There are some things in the game that really make me think: "Why didn't Bethesda do this, did they have reasons for this?" My biggest examples would be the the lack of rain and snow collision and the weird water reflections, which reflects just LOD and nothing else. Again, what are the reasons for not including/updating this? Are you planning to fix these things?
- The Creation Kit has Navmesh bugs from the start, when opening just the .esm. Are you going to fix this?
I REALLY hope you'll read this and you'll take the time to answer my questions. I would just like to know what your thoughts on this matter are. I understand making games is alot of hard work, and it's never perfect. But I'm sure you've got reasons for the points mentioned above. I would really like to know them so I can understand.
Thanks for all your great games and the great patch support.
Yours sincerely,
Bob Smolders
