Bed Ownership

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 12:32 pm

This may seem like a silly little thread, but I kind of miss when beds were not owned by people. Or maybe when someone dies beds are no longer owned. I found a nice place that I'd like to hideout, Drela's Cottage. The guy detected my and attacked me I killed him. And like the place. But here is the thing it's not beneficial to me if the bed is owned.

Shouldn't there be more options for people whom want to live in the wilderness?

Like when someone is killed their ownership of beds disappears or something.

This isn't a complaint. More of a question and statement. Please be respectful.

They certainly shouldn't count as owned beds once the owner has been killed.

I really wanted to sleep in Beggar's Row when I was roleplaying a Skooma addicted tramp, however I could not do so.

I don't think there should be any owned beds at all. I sleep where I please!

I remember morrowind's "you keep what you kill" system. if you liked the look of a home, all you had to do is kill the occupants and it's yours, beds an all

I remember always "assuming ownership" of the arvel plantation and selling their crops

Your house is mine, if I kill you for it.

Why do Beth take this out? It would have been perfect for Skyrim with all the little tiny houses, and places hidden in the widlerness.

My opinion? Probably to much work with ownership transfer from the NPC to the player, specifically with the storage units and the respawning system.

Pfftt

-Armor is combined because of clipping, but guess what it still clips

-We have better video game technology now, use it to update an old system

Just feels more like an excuse these days.

Well look at the trouble the game is having atm with the respawns not working properly. The forum would explode if people captured a locations ownership and the containers "ate" all the players items stored and replaced them with a block of cheese and an apple.
