Resto leveling tips?

Post » Wed Jul 25, 2012 12:42 am

Im in need of some advice on leveling restoration. Ive tried standing in fire and healing but that takes bloody ages. Also tried turning undead which aint bad but takes a fair bit of magicka is slow to cast and is pain with them (undead) all shuffling back and forth in various stages of attack or retreat.

Any advice peeps?

Restoration takes forever to level up. The only way I got my restoration up is through training and letting my self get hit and heal over and over.

Heal Others works well if you have companions. Other than that, paying for training or hurting yourself.

Join the Mages Guild, get Equilibrium from Labrynthian.
Cast Equilibrium in one hand and Healing in the other.
Use weights to keep the mouse keys down when Restoration Healing overcomes Equilibrium Health drain.
Go Shopping, Dine out, or sleep.
Restoration will hopefully be at 100, speak to Collettte to gain the Master Spells.

While your advice is effective, I don't think he wants to "rubberband level".

Lex, do you play on the Xbox?

Indeed I am an Xbox gamer. I dont really like power leveling but resto is so slow im getting forced in to it a bit. Im level 50 and using restro almost exclusively since level 1 for healing and its only at 62 skill.

Do you have Dawnguard at all? If so, it may be possible for you to increase the speed of leveling....

Spoiler
There is a quest that deals with Aetherium that can get you an Aetherium Crown.
If you choose the Mage Stone and the Lover stone, it MIGHT stack both of them. I
say might because I have never tried it. You'll probably want to double check
with others.

Cant do that Im afraid, the Aetherium quest is bugged on this character and wont trigger. Long story short all workarounds tried none worked. Nice idea though, Ill keep that in mind for the future.

A shame. I've also heard that the difficulty setting also alters leveling rates (Novice being easier to level), though again, this is purely speculation. You could train inside a city for a while until you hit a certain number, quest, then repeat as necessary.
