I've been thinking about using a mod manager, as with the Steam Workshop, I'm using far more mods (up to 25 now) than I ever used to - I started playing ES with Oblivion, and only ever used the unofficial patches with it. I know load order makes a difference, and I've been handling it on my own so far, but I'm sure I'm not doing things perfectly (especially since I plan on adding more mods).

So, I've heard that BOSS is good to manage load order, but I have a couple of questions -
* Does BOSS require SKSE?
* Is BOSS available on the Steam Workshop, and if not, how do I get it?
* Is BOSS a mod itself, or just a mod manager?
* Anything I need to know about using BOSS?

I don't do any modding myself, and while I'm not a complete luddite when it comes to technology, I'm no where near a savant either. And since I've used steam only so far for mods, I also don't really know a lot about 'loose files' and 'bashed patches' and things like that which I've read about here (although I'm willing to learn). So any advice / guides / etc. welcome.

Probably worth noting that I'm about to quit procrastinating and release an update to BOSS which has been sitting on my hard drive for over 3 weeks.

haha, OK, I'll follow the thread and wait for the update, thanks. Is there a way to know when updates are released, or is it just following the thread each time and watching for it?
