New races introduced in the future?

Post » Sun Sep 30, 2012 6:13 am

I'm an avid reader of the UESP and stumbled upon the races in the Lore section and noticed they have added a new race of elves: the Lefthanded Elves and 6 new races of men: the Al-gemha, Al-hared, Keptu, Men-of-ge, Men-of-ket, and Men-of-'kreath. And that got my curiosity going.

Perhaps we'll see them in a new game or even future DLC? Who knows....just thought I'd share.

Here is a link http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Races

Unless the Thalmor start experimenting in genetics (Khajitt-Argonian Hybrid :shocking: ) then I doubt it would happen. I think retraction will occur before we get any new races.

Oh I doubt it too. I'd rather them introduce non-playable races if they plan on bringing more in. We have enough playable ones as it is

Those aren't 'races' of men, their tribes known to have been enslaved by the Alyied, much like the Nedes that have become a general term for the ancient men of Tamriel.

Well see, I didn't know that. They were just put up within the last couple of weeks and there is no info about them hence you can't click on their link. And if they are tribes, why aren't the ashlander tribes under the Mer tab?

I'm not opposed to them introducing some of the other races that exist on Nirn. But not in a "Behold! Suddenly Sload!" way.

Well, it is a fan made site and you can edit and add too as long as your a member; discrepencies can be expected. If you like reading up on lore, use the Imperial Library (see my sig). UESP is a good teaser, but not as reputable as the IL. Those tribes come from http://www.imperial-library.info/content/adabal

sadly theres no much, actually, I don't think theres anything else about them. You can find the Nedes referenced again in the 1st PGE as well as in The Froniter, Conquest.

Trolls and Ogres! Somewhat civilized ones. Oh, and Dwarves need to come back from the dead.

I'm actually interested in the Kothringi. Perhaps they'll be expanded upon if we ever see Black Marsh.

Not 'dead' no, more physicallydestroyedandsvckedintogiantstompymetalrobotthatwasthencastoutsideoftime, dead is just a shorter way of phrasing it.

close, they more-or-less stopped existing, they became the skin of their failed golden god and only one escaped uncreation/imprisonment (and he may be dead now, but is the only known dwemer to exist now)
