Who besides me wishes there was a news report company in Skyrim? It was one of the little things back in Oblivion that made the world feel more immersive and real. Publications were made based around the events that happen as you progress through the game which gave you an idea about the effects your actions have on the thoughts of people. I understand this pertains to how the world responds to your actions and this would've have been much better than listening to ignorant & arrogant guards spew the same bullcrap every time regarding your characters deeds and such seeing as how they are the only ones who seem acknowledge them, but then I suppose Nords are usually too dumb to read anyways...

There are Couriers.

There is also plenty of Imperial and Stormcloak couriers running around every hold. They could have potentially been used to deliver biased versions of news reports based on their affiliations. Those random couriers who deliver messages to you on the other hand don't actually affect the world like the ones in Oblivion did.
