Goodbye..huge lesson learned

Post » Wed Oct 03, 2012 4:37 am

Well, I am saying goodbye to Skyrim and the forums. I traded my game Sunday and bought others that run well AND have DLC.

Even if Dawnguard and Hearthfire came out now, it's really too late. I'm tired of the game. Beth waited too long to get this straight, and I don't really believe they will. I truly hope that those of you who are still hoping for it on PS3 get it. Good luck to you. I will watch these forums just to see what happens (Like a train wreck, you know?)

I must say, I got my money's worth out of the game and had many fun hours by starting new characters and never getting them to a high enough level that my save file got to a dangerous size. That is no way to have to play a game, by the way.

My lesson learned? I will NEVER preorder a game or buy one new based on previews, reviews or promises made by developers. We all KNEW something was fishy when none of the stellar reviews were given on the PS3 version. We got a bit suspicious, but we WANTED to believe that "The PS3 is getting tons of attention" So we bought. I will always wait before buying, and I most likely WON'T buy a Bethesda game again. No use buying one and waiting for patches that never fix the game.

So nobody really cares about my personal experience or whether I'm here or not, but I felt the need to express my thoughts which is what the forums are supposed to be about.

Best of luck to you all, and don't give up on your preferred console just because this company screwed up!

Always a shame to see one of these posts. Not just because we lose a member of the community we've built here, but because Bethesda claims a small victory for each of us that gives up and leaves as that's one less person looking for answers.

Not that I blame a single person that has given up and moved on, I fully understand the thoughts behind such a decision and support them. Hopefully one day Bethesda realise that everyone who has ever made of one of these posts here could have been a long term fan if only a little more thought went into their decision making and their PR was focussed more on answering questions than stalling in hope people just forget what it is they wanted to ask.

Happy gaming Yeknom, I hope your future titles inspire feelings of satisfaction and joy rather than the frustration and apathy left behind by Skyrim.

Don't allow goodbye threads on this forum board, sorry. But I do hope you have fun with whatever you play next.
