Whenever I play Skyrim lately, when entering or exiting a house/shop/cave/ruin etc the autosave slows the game down to a crawl for a second, which isn't that annoying, but sometimes the crawl
doesn't go away even after the save has completed; It gets super laggy and remains so. I've found I can stop the lag by alt tabbing out of the game and then alt tabbing back into it. When I do this, suddenly the lag has cleared up. Can anyone explain that? Or how to fix it? I don't understand why alt-tabbing makes the game stop lagging. I don't really want to shut off autosave because they're useful if the game crashes and/or I forget to do a quicksave. Alt tabbing is annoying as well, since it's hit or miss whether I'll end up with the windows cursor on my screen as well as the Skyrim one, and certainly pulls you out of the immersion.
