I lost frost the horse while complete the mission to steal i

Background Story: During the thieves guild mission to steal the horse frost, I decided to take it for a ride to a nearby land marker. I figured, "what could go wrong? The marker isn't far away" I come across a frostbite spider, hop off of frost kill the spider, hop back onto frost and continue my personal quest of reaching this marker. Not long after, I see somebody fighting off a pack of wolves. I figure being a thieve will bring bad karma and I shouldn't pass up a chance to gain some karma. Hop off of frost again, kill the wolves, turn to hop on frost again. Frost isn't where I left he?. Complete another slow 180. no frost in sight. I start walking around, no sign of frost anywhere, not even a dead horse body. I decide to meet up with the man collecting frost, "I see you, not frost" he says. I walk away crying, console command frost and return. "I see you, but no horse" he replies. I give him the middle finger and walk off to a new mission.

Can somebody help me console command a stolen frost or a command that will lead to a quest complete? In my mind, I feel as though I completed the quest (kind of). My only concern is finally finishing the thieves guild (I use to play on ps3, now that I'm on a pc with a lockpick mod, I'm okay with giving up the skeleton key).

Edit: realized I f***'ed my title up and am fully ready to receive all grammar punishment *completing*...or helpful info on how I can change the title (just joined)

Promises To Keep (the quest where you steal Frost for Letrush) is not part of the Thieves Guild questline, so I don't see how having it bug out would prevent you from completing the rest of the TG storyline.

I'm not sure what you mean when you said you "console command frost" - did you use a console command to bring the horse to your location, or move yourself to his location? If all you did was spawn a Frost (by using the placeatme command) that may not work for the quest, as what you've probably done is create a duplicate of the original Frost which - when it comes to unique named people or creatures - is usually not a good idea.
