I think it should be in Alteration because it is altering the state of the target, not changing the perception of anything.

That is still up for discussion. Does it really prevent you from moving or does it make you think you can't move?

I always thought it just made you think you can't move, I mean if you are actually paralyzed it's not like you're just going to be able to recover 5 seconds later, once you're paralyzed it's forever.

Yes, but the game also lets you resurrect people for 60 seconds then they die again, So I don't think real world situations really apply here. Lol

I've always imagined it to be the latter. And it seems like it was so in the past two games so I'm not entirely wrong :tongue:

Making you think you can't move shouldn't turn you into a popsicle though. Clearly it is an alteration spell, at least in Skyrim.

Which is why I think the spell is better suited for alteration.
