The "leadership" of the college of winterhold : V

Most of us already finished the Winterhold quests.

After finishing the (short) sidequest,the hero is named the archmage of the college,but the proffs. dont know if we have any experience on magic.when i completed the quests the first time is was a warrior with 30 at all the magic skills.that's like...apprentice level?

does that even makes sense?

Does it make sense? No, not really. The title seemed kind of hollow to me when I knew there were other mages more qualified for the position. All my characters really do, even my mages, is wander Skyrim in the name of adventure; not what I’d call arch-mage material considering they’re never around the collage to deal with things…

The College of Winterhold questline is laughably bad. It feels like it was written on the back of a cigarette packet in five minutes.

Lol...reminds me of how I trolled my way through that questline with my sword&board just to see if anyone would be like "wtf why u here?".

Shouldn't this be in spoilers? Anyway, the questline felt anticlimactic because you never figure out what the thing actually is. As far as leadership goes, I think that the developers assumed that only mages would want to join a college devoted to magic.

The College of Winterhold questline left alot to be desired. It felt short and poorly written to me. And that a players character could be archmage without knowing much about any of the magic schools just feels wrong.

It depends on the nature of the Archmage job. You don't have to be a great musician (or a musician at all) to manage musical acts, for example. If the archmage is 'most powerful mage in the land' then it doesn't make sense. But if the position is administrative or being the college's problem solver or liaison to the outside world, then why not?

At least you're forced to use spells like, 4 times in the questline. While in the Oblivion Mages Guild, I can only remember one occasion where you had to use spells....

Gah! Am I defending the College now!? No. Just no! I'm not going there! I'm not gonna defend the College of Winterhold!

When asked by Tsun what right you have to enter the Hall of Heroes, you can choose the following option if you've completed the College:

"By right of cleverness. I am Master of the College of Winterhold."

Hahaha! Yeah, I felt so clever doing that questline. Being errand boy for a couple of idiot amateur mages and then taking over after the two highest ranking idiots died apparently makes me a clever bastard.
