Skyrim 1.8 memory usage.

I appear to be running into problems that appear to be memory related. I will add that I'm running the texture combiner mod with large textures and most of the mods that can be used with it (only the project parallax patches are excluded). I'm also running around 30 follower mods. What I'm finding is that Skyrim is using 3.3GB of memory and I'm getting infinite load screens when moving to interior cells.

Just a heads up to Bethesda that they really should consider an X64 patch as I'd hate to have to limit things...

Skyrim already supports LAA (large address aware) natively. Unfortunately AFAIK LAA only allows an exe to use up to 4GB of RAM, so you're hitting or getting close to that memory cap and getting weird glitches like infinite loading screens.

I don't think you'll see a patch to let the game support more than 4GB, since 4GB of RAM is more than enough for any program outside of some heavy duty rendering software and the like. In your case I'd definitely suggest cutting a few mods out to tone down the RAM usage...30 follower mods? If that's 30 individual followers, uh...yikes. No wonder you're using that much RAM. :P
