Patch 1.8 is looking pretty weak

Post » Tue Nov 06, 2012 7:54 pm

I just flipped over and the list of fixes is utter crap.

Skyrim Update 1.8 (all platforms unless specified)

BUG FIXES

General memory and stability improvements
Fixed rare crash when using vampiric grip
Fixed issue where Arnleif and Sons Trading Company could become permanently locked
Fixed issue related to duplicate NPCs
Fixed rare issue where exterior door would not open properly

Like really? How about fixing the kill cams, the missed input events, the glowing objects, the weapon switching, any of a dozen broken quests, ...

Its pretty dissappointing to see this is all they will do since issuing 1.6/7

And I'm sure the PS3 will either never get it or have to wait until its pushed in Jan 2013..

But the rare issues, those are much more important right?
Jeez I really wish my old PC could still run these games. Unoffical fixes always fixed way more than Bethesda did, why can't we just get one of those ported to the consoles.

Yes, and its especially commendable that while we can't fix a know bug in weapon switching since 11/11/11 for the PS3 those with Dawnguard are getting bug fixes.

It's a prep patch for the new DLC mainly. There's a lot of internal changes involved.

So like 1.6 we wont get it as it doesnt affect us as we arent getting DLC fullstop.
