I have found that the moment I buy a plot of land, I cannot use any of the horse and carriages in the game, period. I can speak to the carriage driver and select a location, then he tells me to get in the back and we will be off. So I get in the back of the carriage, no money is taken from my inventory and nothing happens. I just sit in the back of the carriage while the driver tells me to hurry up.

This is the case with every carriage throughout the entire game and I have no mods installed that affect carriages in any way.

I tested this with starting a new character and buying the Lakeview house, same problem.
Started another character and bought the Heljarchen house, same problem.
Started yet another character who bought Winstad and yet again the same problem.

The carriages are fine util I buy a Hearthfire plot, then this problem occurs. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know a fix?

Hmm, my carraige from the house to town worked at Lakeview. TBH, I have not tried any other carraiges since the week of release.

I have the carriage at Lakeview - it worked the first time then the second time I got the same thing as you with it not moving off then it worked again the third time. Sorry, it looks like it fixed itself! Maybe try fast travelling somewhere then back again.

come to think i haver hired a carriage windstad and never seen him

Lakeview -- carriage works but only to locations where the other carriages go. So Riverwood, other new locations he takes the money and just sits there. Annoying.
