How would you role play as a man who fights the darkness but only ends in darkness?
Example: Think of something like Vigilants of Stendarr fighting off darkness just to become one of them\vampires they hunt.

So who would you be as a man who fights the darkness?
What would your primary abilities be?

And what would you end up as 'in darkness'?
What would your abilities be?

Judging just from the title: Sounds a bit like an antisocial angsty teenager to me.
In all seriousness, I've played my vampire as a vampire from the start so I'm not sure about that one.

i made once a vigilant of Stendarr that was infected with lycanthropy in one of her missions, she denied it at first hoping that stendarr would heal her but in the end when she could not escape her fate she became a crazy bloodthristy psycho werewolf, it was a fun roleplay to change from a noble monsterslayer paragon of truth to a bloodthristy werewolf that care for notthing except her next hunt and meal, thanks to Mods like Alternative starts and Tales of Lycanthropy (among others) the only thing i had to really "roleplay that happen" was that even praying to stendarr he didn't cure her disease

My character is forever fighting the darkness of the werewolf within . . .

Every full moon cycle he travels to the abandoned prison and sleeps in a cell to keep himself away from the population.

As a devout Stendarr worshiper, he is awfully angry at seeing those Vigilants of Stendarr turning Stendarr's teachings of mercy into a witch hunt. One night he lost control and wolfed out, savagely killing two of them.

He is currently atoning for this by being the best man he possibly can.
