Can Mjoll be turned into a vampire if she is your wife?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 6:13 pm

Just as the title says, I couldn't get an answer on a few other boards. I'm looking for a wife that can be turned into a vampire. But I hear certain ones like quest givers can't be. So I was wondering if anyone has Mjoll as a vampire wife? Or Aela? or other such NPC's. (I'm looking more for the ones who talk a lot like Vanessa etc)

Edit: "also, I would have taken Serana, but the game won't let you marry her..."

If you can't wait a few hours for an answer you don't deserve to have one.

What? A few hours? Why would I have to wait a few hours? There's dozens of members online right now. That was kind of rude... It had already been 45 minutes and my thread had reached the second page, in other words. It would have never gotten read and replied too if I hadn't bumped it. Why did you come in here just to say something so rude? I don't understand?

Agreed. Considering how fast other threads are answered to and how fast some threads get buried, it's perfectly reasonable. As for your question: Have you tried going to the UESP or Elder Scrolls wiki?

Yes. You get a quest from one of the dudes at the Volkihar castle after you complete the main story to go turn your wife into a vampire (regardless of who it is, I believe). From reading on here I've noticed some people are having issues with the quest bugging out, but I had no problems (I married the dark elf chick from the College, Brelyna I think her name is).

So short answer: yes.

Same answer as this guy. Only difference is I married Ysolda in Whiterun so she would be a merchant and earn me some cash. I had no problems feeding on her and completing the quest. That said, I havent gone back to see her since then so I don't know what happens. Like if her apperance changes/closes up shop/has different dialog options.

If it got ysolda out of those rags:

I'd try it.

As far as Mjoll:

On the xbox 360 she is always essential. So being essential, could you turn her
into a vampire?

That's what I'm wondering. I haven't seen anything about it on the wiki though. And I've yet to get that far into the Vamp questline to test it out by marrying her.
