Problem Replacing Model

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 9:44 am

Hello everybody.

I have an issue with trying to replace the tree LOD models. I created new LOD models for the pine trees and tossed them into the folder I found them in, in the BSA, and named them accordingly as well. In game I see the same old original LOD models. No errors, no crashes, nothing reported by the game, models load fine in nifskope...

Anybody ever have a similar problem replacing models? Maybe it is just something to do with the way LOD models are dealt with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Loose versions of files invariably 'win'. Are your models loose or in a BSA? If in a BSA, try just removing the loose vanilla versions and your BSA will 'win'.

They are "loose" files in my skyrim directory. Data>meshes>landscape>Trees

Hmmm. Sorry, but I'm not sure what's happening then. So long as the file names match and are loose, nothing should override 'em.
