I am somewhat familiar with the CK and have decided to move on from goofing around with armor/weapon/enchanments to make a custom Hold (Worldspace). Big leap I know, but after watching a lot of video tutorials and reading the creation kit wiki, I feel I can accomplish this. I am doing well so far making the landscape, interior cells, npcs and adding FX features but now I want to start to move on to more complicated things.
After doing some research on how to link the individual cells to the exterior cell via a load door (piece of cake). Then I read about making Locations for each individual cell and exterior cell location and I have gotten rather confused.
I made a Location for my Hold - added a xmarker with LocationCenterMarker Ref Type ( A )
I made a Location for my town in the Hold - added a xmarker with LocationCenterMarker Ref Type ( B )
I made a Location for the inn that in the town - added a xmarker with LocationCenterMarker Ref Type ( C )
Linked Ref C to B and B to A --- Nothing works after that.
Now, I have looked up a few inns in the CK that have these locations and their towns up to the holds that connect to Tamriel. I see that each connects to the other via a Parent Location that has a World Location Marker Ref. The Ref Marker is the xmarker (I think) with the LocationCenterMarker attached to it. I can see the line that Bethesda used and I tried to retrace it to apply it to mine. Everytihng I tried doesn't connect in my hold that I am creating. The little crosshairs from the Select Reference button never turn white for me. If I try to select something in the exsisting world of Tamriel, then they turn white and will let me select something. But not in my worldspace.
Can anyone tell me where I went wrong? If someone knows can you explain it to me please? I would really like to have an inn with a working bard.
