Vampire repeatable quests are suddenly broken.

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:38 am

I get the quest to 'Report to Vingalmo, he has something for you' and...no he doesn't. He just talks about how he hates Orthjolf and no one else is offering anything, it's quite annoying  Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? If its possible to fix anyways...

Nope, no fix unless you can reload a save. I don't even know if that fixes it either.

That svcks. No fix tho. You will have to take the glitch into your life and deal with it. Now here's a photo of a http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p554/Ahzek/gifs/dealwithit.gif

They may also have you do quests that you have already done to people like in Protecting the Bloodline, they had me go to someone who I already turned into a vampire so now I'm stuck forever. They also had me kill people in Whiterun three times! I still can't believe how messy the game is even after the beta testing.

If you get that one, just kill the person you have to turn/have already turned to fail the quest.

Yeah. It happened to me once and that's the only fix. You also get a couple of gold for the inheritance later :P

It's not only for the vamp side. For my brief time with the dawnguard, I had a quest to report to gunmar...yet he had nothing. Seems like both sides have this issue.

I've run into this myself with Vingalmo. At first I thought it might be because I didn't kill a "high class" citizen in Whiterun but instead took out Nazeem (who is an annoying [censored] anyway) and his corpse is still laying about in front of my Breezehome safe house. Figured a glitch might have arose from there and maybe the game thought I wasn't done with the mission or something. Now I come here searching for answers and see I'm not the only one with this issue. Just hoping for a fix some time in the future, not a game breaker for me really.

Vingalmo would've ended up giving you a quest to turn someone into a vampire that you have already turned, thus breaking those wonderful radiant vampire quests.

The best way to fix the vingalmo bug is to reload the latest autosave. From personal experience, it randomizes the radiant quests.

yeah I gave up on the Vampire Radiant quests, I hated having to kill a high profile person wearing Dawnguard armor, it seems like that type of mission just goes on & on till you've run out of merchants in all your cities. Plus you can't waste the one high profile person who is just begging for death (Maven Black-briar needs to die). When Vingalmo ordered my character to turn that wood elf in Riften into a vampire AGAIN, I just stopped playing that questline. There doesn't seem to be much of a reward anyway.
Not a game breaker for me but yeah, it's disappointing a little more attention wasn't paid to the issues everyone is talking about here. Still, I'm cautiously optimistic that the next DLC will kick some ass.

For the high profile kill quest's just murder guards you won't get the optional done but it counts to completing the quest.

Hey, don't blame us "beta testers" for this crap. We were reporting this crap before anybody else...we're dawnguard hipsters. :P
