Dawnguard Leaders

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:06 pm

When you kill the dawnguard leaders do they later respawn if you go back to the fort?

Edit: Plus i found a way for does who choose the VL side to get shock steel bolts, etc.
First you need to go to Fort Dawnguard and then go to Dead Drop falls i believed its called then when you are almost at the end of the cave you'll see them on a table.
Hope it helps

No named NPC's respawn, so nope. The fort stays empty I'm pretty sure.

Actually why would they respawn? Npcs in skyrim don't respawn when you kill them except for the guys in dungeons and caves.

Whoa...calm down. He has a valid point. The only named NPC in the game that respawns is Movarth, and that's a glitch. That's always been an Elder Scrolls mechanic. It wouldn't make sense for named NPCs to suddenly respawn. That's what generic ones are for.

Dead NPCs tend to stay dead unless they're random un-named NPCs such as Bandits. The Dawnguard NPCs in the Fort are all named, and therefore do not respawn, so if you're trying to take advantage of Illusion to buy bolts and spells off the NPCs, I suggest you do it before killing them off.

Thank you i had to revert to an old save in order to buy off the spells and the bolts from them.

Yep...I found him in some bandit infested fort (can't remember which one) after he was supposed to have died. I was shocked. Perhaps the Skjor in the bandit fort was just a bandit coincidentally with the same name?

Nope, I can still get missions from him and I've completed the Companions questline.
