So, for a brief period of the Dawnguard quest line from where you change to a vampire to enter the Soul Cairn to where you have to return to Isran with Auriel's Bow, you can actually be a vampire lord whilst still hunting vampires. Am I the only one who found this weird?

I mean, Dawnguard has blatantly more abilities.

No you can't they will tell you to go and get yourself cured before you can do any more quests for them.

Well my mistake cause I see this question so many times I just presumed, well that teaches me to read the opening post properly.

Mmm- even more weird how Meaning you can do this when you have completed all the quests, not missing anything.

I wasn't on the Dawnguard side but even so as a Vampire I never killed so many before (I tried to give them my card but they weren't interested). The Dawnguard shouldn't need to worry they could just sit back and let the Vampires to their job for them.

You cant. Isran will tell you to get cured. Would've been cool. You'd be like Angel.

There is a reason why they won't take you as a vampire because the previous dawnguard got ruined because they thought they could use vampirism to combat vampires but that did not turn out well. Talk to the the dawnguard npcs about the dawnguard background.

What if your a regular base vampire not a VL, will they say the same thing.
