Arvak is the only one? : V

Has anyone else noticed that arvak isnt effected but the spell absorption bug? why is this? just saying if the Devs figured out whats different it would be very simple to apply this to the other spells aswell and fix the problem....

That happens with creatures you summon sometimes. If you spam it though it will eventually work. Also it depends there are two spells expel daedra for higher level, daedra, and banish for lower level. So it may not work depending on which spell you are using and what level arvak is.

I know that it happens, I was wondering if anybody has noticed that arvak isnt affected by it. he ALWAYS works, the bug doesn't affect him

Interesting. My lvl 81 character has 100% spell absorption. I will try this out when dawnguard comes out for PC.

I know that it happens, I was asking if anybody has realized that he isnt affected by the bug. He ALWAYS works. it goes right past the absorption bug.

Also if you dismount him after a couple seconds he will just die, so it could be that.

But until you get on him, hes jsut a normal summon. This gives me hope that it can be fixed

We don't know if it's a bug, it's been known about for ages, it could be intended.

it is a bug, your character disappears when you cast the spell lol.

I'm still wondering why bethesda hasn't fixed that annoying buy yet. I love spell absorption but being a pure summoner might prove difficult with 80% spell absorption.

Another thing I don't like about Arvak is he takes up one of your twin soul slots, first time I noticed this I had 2 master vampire thralls and when I summoned Arvak one of them unthralled.

We....he is a summon you know? so it kind of makes since that he would take up a slot. But my opening point was that he isnt affected by the spell absorption bug of the alteration tree. He never fails to summon.
