Okey, i got a quest to find "Florentius", i go to the mine hes in, i defeat the "Charmed Vigilants " enemies, reach the chamber were hes caged, defeat the boss, take the key, unlock the door, and hes hostile towards me? Why? Whut? What? Hes also essential so i cant kill him.


Quest name: Bolstering the Ranks.
"I've been asked to find a man named Florentius in the hopes that he can assist the Dawnguard. I've learned that he was last seen helping the Vigilants of Stendarr in Ruunvald."

Objectives:
Find Florentius.


(God i hope this dosent have anything to do with me being a werewolf and he being a vigilant.)

I have, i even reloaded to the first zone of the caves, no change. I even tryed exiting and reentering. But thanks for your input.

I have heard that some bugs/glitches happen when there is a bounty somewhere. Do you have a bounty?

I dont think so, but i would like to know if its becuse im a werewolf. Have anyone done this mission as a werewolf?

I was an never had an issue. Do not know what else to tell you except report it in the "software" section under dawnguard. That is where they are reporting all the bugs and glitches. Sorry

I just found a solution, after finding him and he being hostile, exit cave, wait 3 days, return. Now hes all freindly.

If you approach him as a werewolf as I first did, he won't like it.

No, i never showed him my beast form, he was just hostile for some reason. Well i figured out a fix anyway (as shown in the post above yours), so no worries.

Hmm I'm having this same problem. I do have a bounty but it's only like 40 gold. I killed a group of stormcloaks on my way to the cave. I'm going to try and get rid of it before I go back in. I have a save before I go into the cave. And then I'll try waiting 3 days if that doesn't work.

I have had the same problem. I've had this problem for a while so I just left and continue my skyrim life. It been about two weeks since I last went back to ruunvald. ( skyrim time ). How do I fix this problem with the mission? Is going into the cave and coming outto wait for three days fix this? If not how would I fix this?
