Hide and Seek Dawguard faction quest?

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 2:11 pm

It seems like most everyone has chosen the Vamp side of it all. So anyone that chose Dawnguard please help me! I cannot figure out a way to kill the Traveling Bard vampire in Hide and Seek without getting a bounty for murder. I have searched allover the net for a guide or walkthrough or a youtube video and its all vampire side no Dawnguard.

99% of the threads say they went Dawnguard..if anything the Vampire side isn't getting as much love as they should.

...and I'd recommend sneak attackin' with a crossbow then before the other guys react sneak out.

Dude isnt small level vamp, Ive dragged him thru traps in dungeous, Ive done shouts at him, Ive sneek attacked him (which is near impossible because the only oppurtunites you have is if hes following you which you cant do it then, and then in the bar hes at when you find him, so no there), Ive drug him out in the wilderness and murdered him and still get a bounty as well.

I find it odd theres like 100 some odd people who are playing that are on this forum viewing right now, and not one Dawnguard faction person can help me out, its an early quest for christs sake.

Get him to follow you. Go to dark alley. Use your imagination.

Just sneak attack him. He doesn't have that much health. I killed him on master in 1 shot with a 102 damage crossbow. so 204 damage/2 on master 101. He probably had 100 health. And if you do get a bounty is it that hard to pay it off?

Im a level 48, with a skill level of 62 on sneak, I used the Advanced Crossbow, and poisened it, and it still barely budged his health at all, Ive tried a million different ways, hell Ive tried sneak attacking him with a one handed lvl 52 daedred sword of fire fully charged and my one handed is at 100 skill level, that guy has alot more than just a small amount of health! Give me a break, and yes I have played assasin.

Killing him when no one is watching doesnt work, and I already said that. I drug that dude to the middle of nowhere and slaughtered him when there wasnt a sole around and still got a bounty for it.

that is the name of the quest you get from the book. Try rereading the book and make sure you flip through all the pages. Did not register for me when I opened it but did after i read it.

Ah lost to the ages starts as a misc quest. Put up the quest that tells you to investigate arthgaskms. Or whatever the it's called I hate Dwarven names.

If you find killing him to be the difficult part try turning down the difficulty. Then he should be a bit softer. Or... You could sneak rage him? Then he attacks you and you shall be "defending" yourself... Legal loop hole.

I had this same problem and found that when he sits down on one of the benches there is space to crouch and hide perfectly, but you need to to have some invisibility potion cause the guards will start looking for you, there will be no
Bounty but if they spot you they will attack.

So you need to stay still as possible, and as soon as they have given up looking, and they are not enemies fast travel, an fast as when they see the body again they will start looking again.

Mhmm same issue.. despite my high level, I can barely touch him in sneak. Consequently the guards are quickly alerted. The "if you don't see me, i can kill him unnoticed" doesn't work in Skyrim. Guards are still telepathic.. :/
