Doing this is all well and good as far as I know. Your not adding anything to the game or Xbox and your not hacking, your using a feature that's built into the game but it's locked out for us console players. The best advice I can give is to avoid using the command console for gaining achievements like the one for having 1 000 000 coin, or the Oblivion walker, this way your not breaking any rules and you still have to do it yourself. Also, I wouldn't get any unique items before you have actually gotten it in game yourself, 1) you might bug out the item, the Ring of Hircine for example will stop working if you have two copies of it. 2) Some things cannot be improved at a smith if you haven't unlocked it yet, I tried to upgrade my TG master armor but couldn't because I haven't done the entire quest and didn't unlock it yet. So just have an eye on what your doing and don't over do it :goodjob:

I already have all 60 Achievements so no worries there. And I wont ask someone to do something that would cause problems.. I actually want to do the Blood on the Ice quest so I'll just ask for him to begin the quest since it wont begin on itself for odd reasons.

as long as you use moderation your all good. The biggest one to avoid is the command for unlocking all spells and shouts in the game( even the ones your not supposed to have ) this will glitch you game out something fierce.

All he did was added some spells and powers. Most of the powers I don't want, like I said.. The spells he added was Summon Dragon Priest and Spectral Arrow, which both works just fine...

I am surprise Spectral Arrow is unused... It works fine and is an awesome spell to use..

Alrighty, well once DG comes out for the PC you can send me a copy of your save and just add a little list of what spells or powers or finished unremovable quest items you want removed as well. I'll add the Shield and start the Blood on the Ice quest for you too. When you get back the save the picture shown in the load menu will look messed up but don't worry about it. I'll test out the save on my Xbox afterwards to make sure it is working first before I send it back.

I already sent you a message with my e-mail address. I should be getting Dawnguard within the same week it comes out since there are a few fixes I want to make in my own game as soon as possible. You can just send me your most recent auto-save when it's out

Huzzah! I knew I made a this thread and wasn't my imagination!

And yes, I'm Necroing this cause Dawnguard been out for PC and I still need help... And people on this thread seem to understand what I am wishing for >.>

I'm not one who likes to get into trouble so I'll ask first..

I kinda lost Auriel's Shield... Didn't picked it up so it "left-the-game" with the dead Falmer who had it..But I didn't knew it was there so can't rly blame me, can you?

Anyways... I was wondering if I could transfer my Save Game to the PC and do, whatever is needed to do, and add the shield to my inventory? Like, is it legal to do or not?

I don't want any trouble so a simple yes or no would be fine then I'll have this locked.

Bethesda won't care. Mircrosoft how ever WILL. Altering saves violates terms of use and is grounds for suspension, banning, and possable reset of you gammer score and the addition of the Cheater tag added to your gammer profile. THIS is why mods make xbox users grumpy, and why something like Steam hasn't been made available to us. Bethesda supports the modding comunity, XBox see them as filthy cheating hackers who need to be punished. this includes altering save files of any game.
No one will stop ya from doing it, but if you get caught you've been warned.

as far as i know xbox says no modification is allowed.but i wouldnt think they would find out.also i think you would have to rehash and resighn save to get back on the right gamertag on xbox this is modification.mind you i could be wrong..

Well, unless the xbox saves are the same format as that of PC, and you have Dawnguard in both of them, the only solution is to edit the save directly with a hex editor.

I don't think his account is banned.. It doesn't say anywhere on his page. The email he gave me was sent via a PM which I have no longer... Someone at my house kinda deleted my PMs, and such, when I wasn't looking/around...

Hey Jusey, I am really sorry for going missing for so long. A short while after our last convo I ended up taking an unplanned last minute weekend vacation to Italy, I got so attached that I ended up extending the stay here from 1 weekend to nearly 1 1/2 months (of course leaving behind my console/PC/everything in the process)

Anyways, I'm heading back home to Switzerland in 1-2 weeks so feel free to send me the save via e-mail. I've left you a message with my e-mail address in it

Edit: Since I am not able to immediately help as my game/stuff is back home, if you don't feel like waiting and have a friend with a pc copy I can always also write you up a walkthrough on how to edit the saves yourself. All you would need is your copy of the game, a friend with Skyrim/Dawnguard, an internet connection to download modio or horizon and a usb.

Like I've said before, I don't mind doing it as the whole process would take me less than 5 minutes tops but if you don't feel like waiting and wanna learn how to do it so you can also easily fix your game in the future it takes maybe 10 minutes to learn how to transfer and edit files and I am happy to pass on the knowledge
