To my understanding, no, there isn't a way around this when you've married Aela. If you're on PC, I suppose it's possible to divorce and re-marry via the console; however, there is no guarantee as to whether that won't [censored] your game up further

Bethesda wasn't able to get all of the original voice actors back in order to work on Dawnguard.

Therefore, the only spouses that seem to be able to be turned are the spouses that are voiced by actors that were able to come back for the new content.

How do we know who to marry? Simple.

If one of the Dawnguard characters shares a voice actor (listen to them carefully...) with a vanilla game character, then they can be turned as a spouse. If they don't, then it's not possible.

Hence, Mjoll can be turned, as can Ysolda. However, Aela and Jenassa cannot be turned if they are your spouse.

It's unfortunate, but this is what we have.

Aela can't because of her lycanthropy. Neither can Vilkas.

Uthgerd, who shares Aela's voice, can be turned.
