Hi,

If I buy dawnguard off Steam and I don't want to play it, can I leave it unninstalled and install it after finishing the main storyline on my character? I don't want any Dawnguard until I finish the main storyline.

Can I leave it unnistalled on steam after I buy it or am I obliged to install it?

Dawnguard can be installed and ignored i believe, you have to actively accept a quest from someone to begin the storyline. So i think when they approach you, you can just pass on
