Okay, so I come home and Sofie comes running down the stairs to greet me. She loudly proclaims that she did now know I had a doggie, and asks if she can keep him. The only trouble is, I don't have a dog, or any other followers. All I can guess is that it is somehow connected to the Clavicus Vile quest, which I finished some time ago, returning Barbas to Vile. Anyone else ever have this happen? If I click on yes that she can keep the dog, is that going to prevent me from bringing home a real dog like Meeko someday and making it a pet?

The plot thickens. I loaded up a save from before going into the house and talking to Sofie, went to Meeko's shack, and recruited Meeko as a companion. After bringing Meeko back home, he will not go into the house. Sofie does not ask to adopt him either, even when I tell her to go outside, so she, Meeko, and I are all in the same place. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
