Did the NPC have a name? Where were you? What were you fighting? What shield was floating?

ok i approached the dead dunmers body to loot him and his shield floated to the sky all i can say it flew away slowly tho like it was slowly descending to space

and i forgot the npcs name but he is dead when you get to him cause theres a battle started you help the essental npc in battle he says he thought he was going to die his friend did not make but if you fast travel and go to his body his shield floats away
