Solstheim before and after red mountain.

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 12:22 am

So im walking around and seeing all the places i saw in the Bloodmoon prophecies and i am actually sad how much damage red mountain has caused to this place. It used to be healthy looking and now its all gone. Passed by fort frostmoth and i remembered how it was such a wonderful fort in morrowind now....its rabble. Bravo to Bethesda for making it feel like we left and how much time can effect a place.

As a huge Morrowind fan (and PC player, so I'm stuck waiting until January), I really can't wait to play this so see how they've evolved the history from all of those places.

At least the north face of the Island is still nice and snowy.

The southern half of it though, I feel like my nord is getting lung disease at this point. Lol

It's both depressing and beautiful at the same time. Solstheim once upon a time served as the winter-wonderland contrast to Vvardenfells ash lands and swamps. Now Solstheim serves as an ashy contrast to Skyrim.. with a whole bunch of change in Dunmer political and religious structure..

The worst, according to my Dunmer character, being that the rest of his people remaining in Morrowind are forced to suffer under the rule of those FILTHY LIZARDS :P

more like borders have permenently changed. mournhold is taken, the new capitol is blacklight [further proving that we may go there before this game is finished]
silt striders are dieing off, or at least the one in solstheim [probably climate adaption issues, it cant be the ash]
vvardenfell is a smoking ruin.
the temple has restructured, some great houses have truely fallen.

the dunmer tale is so sad :(
they just get [censored] on after being [censored] on after being [censored] on.

There's been some rebuilding on Vvardenfell, and Mournhold is not taken. Mournhold is still there and under Dunmer control, but was sacked so Blacklight was made the capital.

then i misunderstood what i have read, that is good news. from what i saw it said mournhold was sacked and never relinquished, but i could be wrong.
the news about the rebuilding on vvardenfell is suprising to me :) i did not know that.

I don't think we know that for certain? House Indoril is wiped out, as is Dres most likely so the Argonians could have taken a little more than what was lost in the Arnesian War.

At least 2 Dunmer in Skyrim speak about returning to Mournhold.

Whenever I go by Fort Frostmoth, I have to stand on the remains of the dock steps and take a moment of silence.
