Depends.

SPOILER;
If you choose to let the chick lie and say that she got the blessing and so on so forth, I have no idea.
I chose to not let her, and she attacked me. So I killed her (obviously). Tried taking the axe, no dice. So I went back to the Hall and told the guy the truth. He told me to leave and never return, even though he understood my view and didn't blame me for it. I'm fairly certain they won't aggro if I return, however, because I waited and stayed there for a few in-game days, as well as left and came back inside a few times. So essentially you get to use the Mead Hall. That's.. about it.

EDIT: Weird how I couldn't get the spoiler tags to work.

Any followers?

Not as far as I can tell, but you should probably go to the wikia to make sure. I haven't attempted to get one, but I talked to everyone and none of them have dialogue from what I could see.

There is a mercenary in The Retching Netch named Teldryn Sero that you can hire. From what I have read from other forum members, he is a good follower with very interesting lines.

You get small fetch quests form some of the Nords in Thirsk, such as the blacksmith outside. Haven't finished those yet.

you get to trade with 2 members, one's a blacksmith and you can do a couple of side quests for them. the hall has black briar reserve mead scattered about that will respawn and the ewoks will randomly attack the hall....unfortuantely a recent raid has caused their blacksmiths death
I don't know if anythings different if you spare the unworthy woman

I agreed to the lie in the cave but refused to lie in the mead hall and they told her to leave and go off to the wild to prove herself. Her husband now gives me the same "You are not welcome", "I have nothing to say to people like you" dialog.

I can't imagine that the spirit would be happy. Can someone confirm what happens if you agree to lie all the way through?

If you lie all the way through, Kuvar becomes a master Heavy Armor trainer. Nothing else changes, as far as I can tell. You can do the fetch quests and use the blacksmith's services even if you exile Bujold. Really, the only one who gets pissed off about your choices is Kuvar, which is pretty understandable, since your choices lead to either the exile or death of his wife.

So, is the axe in the cave (can't remember spirit's name) attainable? It's pretty nifty looking.

No. It wasn't obtainable in Bloodmoon, either. It's supposed to be irretrievably stuck there.

If you don't spare the woman, her husband, while understanding, still gets angry and tells you not to come back.

If you spared her, you return and the husband questions you about the trip.
- If you lie and say she was considered worthy, she remains leader but they fight a lot.
- If you tell him the truth that she's not worthy, he gets pissed at her for lying and makes her run away into the wild. He then gets angry at you for no real reason and treats you as if you killed her.

I understand his anger if you kill her, but if she's exiled, it is in no way your fault. She lied and he exiled her, you were a bystander.

Heh, I never said he was right. He exiles her because it's the right thing to do, but he's still pissed off and has to rage at something, and you happen to be standing there being all convenient and whatnot.

This seems to be a pointless quest that had such potential. If we lie all the way through I would expect the spirit to become angry and duagar to flood the Hall leading to a major battle. If you lie then tell the truth she gets exiled but you can help her reclaim her way. And lastly if you tell the truth and kill her you should be able to challenge for the right to rule the mead hall.

I would have liked these options far more. The current mission as is seems to be a waste for such a historic place.

Ya. I just killed her, and before her husband was able to ask me about the whole ordeal, a bunch of Rieklings attacked. So he never actually found out about his wife. I just regret not siding with the little buggers. They at least have some tenacity to them.

Out of interest, is it any more rewarding to side with the Rieklings?

From what I've heard, yes, it is. You can get a new follower, and they'll occasionally aid you in combat.

If you side with Thrisk you get two more marriage options, the blacksmith and a woman (not the leader, but can't remember her name).

Haven't done DB myself yet, since I'm on PC, but imo rieklings sound superior.

I guess that works as a reason. I still don't much like it. He seemed like a somewhat honorable guy, not the type to rage at you over his own difficult choices.

Despite his hidden rage, he seems like he was the most suitable candidate to lead Thirsk. He respected its traditions enough to go against his own wife. If you listen to them argue, he seems to be the more level headed and intelligent of the two.

I agree that it had a lot more potential. I agree with everything except for the angry spirit haunting them and using draugrs. He wasn't a Daedra. He wasn't even a powerful spirit. He could communicate through his relic (the axe) but he couldn't physically harm anyone or control draugr without necromancy being involved. Nor does it seem likely that he would, considering how he allowed the reiklings to defile the Hall.

I was once in my house, and He said I was wealthy.
From that point on, I stopped using him.

I didn't even know you could side with the Rieklings until after the quest. I found the Nords, they needed help, so I went and cleared the buggers out. And yeah...no real reward. I ended up killing the chick, seeing as she didn't seem fit as a leader.
