I've been beset by cultists twice, once in skyrim, and a second time at Raven's rock, and I have cultist orders in my inventory, but no quest for Dragonborn, nor any completed quests having to do with the main questline on solsthiem. I've explored a good chunk of the island, and done a fair amount of quests at both Raven's Rock, and the Telvanni area, so I'm hoping I won't have to reroll a character, though I might go a more magicka focused route, which might be interesting.

Anyway, any and all help is appreciated, and if there's any information I can provide to help with a solution, I'll gladly share it.

when you read the note from the cultists no quest started? huh odd...

That's exactly what I was wondering. I've tried reading the note a couple times, but to no avail. Seems I might be out of luck if the orders are the trigger point.

yeaa that's strange have you tried talking to NPC's about miraak and nothing shows up for the dialogue?

The only dialogue options I've been getting are just asking about hte obelisks that dot solsthiem, to which nobody remembers a thing. Other than that and the cultists, my main quest involvement is pretty much zip.

Are you sure the quest isn't in your log already?

try going to the temple of miraak and sea if frea is there. thats where u need to go anyway

Traveled over there, and used my Aura whipser to seek out everyone in or around the construction site, but no Freia was to be found. As to my questlog, the onles I have in there are two black books, and a quest or two from the skyrim mainland. I also searched through each of my completed quests, but found no mention of cultists or Miraak in any of them.

Apparently, the quest failed to trigger. If you have a save before meeting the cultists (or before killing them -should also work), load it up and try again.

it would seem u have a major bug my friend. do u have a really old save before u even went to solsthiem and got attacked by the cultists? if so i would reload that..if not then sounds like you are Sol on this one

If you incorrectly installed the game by downloading the patch it needs to work properly after you downloaded the DLC, or not restarting the game after downloading the DLC, give up, uninstall the DLC, download it again start it all over again and see if it works. You would have to do a clean save without Dragonborn installed (grab all your non dragonborn stuff and go back to Skyrim, save and delete the DLC, then save again) or restart with a save from before the DLC was installed.
