I've been loving the game so far, but I'm on my final What If? mission and I seem to be stuck. It seems the AI wants to massively outflank the Security forces to get to the air vent control systems they're trying to hack. They're basically running the borders of the map. The ones that aren't trying to do that always seem to go after different targets. I think some are even going as far as trying to capture the enemies starting console. At best I'll get maybe two or three of us in the same vent room and usually they keep running and generally aren't interested in sticking around to defend even after I've planted a hack bot.
The friendly Operatives take too long to get there. The enemies regroup too quick for me to fight them on my own AND hack the vent to 100% (closest I've got is about 20%).

So is there any way to tip the balance so they consider me a priority defence target? I just need two or three people to stick with me so I can finish hacking the vent.

Hack it in bursts. Get like 5-10% then knock the enemy out of the areas get another 5-10%. Switch to solider give yourself lots of ammo then switch to op and stick it out as long as you can. Go heavy op with a mini gun to keep the bots down make shure you switch to solider for the ammo since it has just the one Box of 100 standard. Back it up with a shotgun and you will be fine.
