This seems like an opportunity for a quick, easy, popular mod, just replacing the sound files for ED-E's combat music with something less generic. I'd do it, but I'm unfamiliar with the Fallout sound compression system (and copyright concerns). I'd be willing to take a stab at it though if someone can point me in the right direction.
